Lake Katherine in Palos Heights, Illinois

The beautiful Lake Katherine is located in Palos Heights, Illinois. This 136 acre nature center is the perfect place to host your next intimate wedding reception or banquet. Lake Katherine has two on-site locations available for rental. The Brigid O’Malley Auditorium and the E.G. Simpson Clubhouse.

The O’Malley Auditorium is the larger of the two facilities and can hold upto 130 guests. The auditorium has a small stage located along the side walls which work great for a head table or your DJ. The Auditorium is furnished with hardwood floors, a PA System, Refridgerator, Sink, and a microwave. Wireless internet is also available if needed for business presentations.

While the O’Malley Auditorium works great for banquets, we’d recommend that you check out the E.G. Simpson Clubhouse. Although a bit smaller, the Clubhouse feels more like a typical reception hall. The clubhouse holds around 100 people and overlooks the scenic lake. The E.G. Simpson Clubhouse is also equipped with an outdoor balcony that wraps around the building and overlooks the grounds. Inside the clubhouse there are large picturesque windows and a gas burning fireplace. If that isn’t enough, there is also a kitchen, small dancefloor and private bathrooms.

If you’re looking to plan a small intimate wedding reception or banquet, Lake Katherine in Palos Heights, Illinois would be an ideal place to look into.

If the facilities are too small you may even consider stopping by for your wedding pictures. Please note though, you will need to contact Lake Katherine if you’re planning on taking pictures on their property. In the summertime their gardens tend to back up with wedding pictures, so an appointment is mandatory!
