This past Saturday(September 5th) we had the opportunity to celebrate with Craig and Liz Hooker at their wedding reception at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, Illinois. For those of you who have been to the Rialto, know this is one classy facility. Originally built in 1926, the Rialto is truly a magnificent and historic venue for a wedding reception.

The ceremony began around 4:00pm on the large stage at the Rialto. Luckily, we were setup early so we had an opportunity to pop in and watch the ceremony from the balcony. At one point both Liz and Craig each sang to each and it had almost everyone crying in their seats. This was the first time I had seen this done and it was beautiful!

The reception immediately started around 6:00pm in the main rotunda the Rialto. I’ve included a video below to kind of give you an idea on how “Grand” the rotunda is. After a survey of the room, we thought it was be really cool to do the grand introductions from the balcony above the guests. This way everyone could see from the main hallway and the photographer could grab some cool pictures.

The photographer for this event was Ken from Bella Photography and the videographers were Steve and Karen from Video Gallery HD. Both were very friendly, accommodating and they even stayed til the end of the night. That’s something I haven’t seen happen in over 4 years. I would highly recommend these vendors to anyone.

Their was even a few surprises at Craig and Liz’s reception including: A surprise “Dancing Queen” wedding party dance, a custom introduction song sung by the bride (see video), and even a few other surprise singers through-out the night. There was definitely a lot of talent at the Rialto that night.

All in all it was a fun and fast paced reception with a full dance floor all night long. Congrats again to Craig and Liz Hooker! We wish you the best of luck!
