Carriage Greens Country Club in Darien, Illinois is what many would call the hidden gem of banquet halls on the southwest side of Chicago. Why call it a hidden gem you ask? Well, to be honest it’s not the easiest facility to find. Unless you’re looking for it, you’ll probably drive right by it. After a quick Google search though, you’ll come to realize that it’s ideally located between Cass Ave & Lemont Road right off of the I-55 expressway. No worries though once you enter the golf course you’ll never guess there is a large interstate less than a mile away. It’s quite peaceful and very serene!

Once you’ve plugged the Carriage Greens address into your GPS you’re well on your way to a quick trip to paradise. This full service country club offers all the amenities one could come to expect. Some of these amenities include lush greens, fabulous fairways and dining rooms that offer a great panoramic view of the golf course below.

Carriage Green offers 5 distinct banquet rooms, each with it’s own personality. Whether you’re looking for a small intimate wedding reception or a large wedding with 300+ guests, Carriage Greens has a banquet room that’ll work great for you. Each dining room is equipped with a spacious marble dance floor, a full service bar and your very own view of the golf course below. Carriage Greens also has their very own gazebo which is available for pictures and/or your wedding ceremony. We recently witnessed a wedding ceremony here where the bride arrived on her very own horse drawn carriage. Very original and very classy! I’m sure if you talk to management they could easily refer you to a local horse carriage company!

The food at Carriage Greens was also fabulous. All of their meals are cooked on-site by their very own certified chef. If you could swing it I would highly recommend their Tilapia. I’m not normally a fish kind of guy, but the fish at Carriage Greens was cooked to perfection. My mouth is still watering just thinking about it! :)

The service is also unmatched at Carriage Greens when it comes to accommodating and friendly. Most of the workers didn’t speak much English, but they were always right there when needed. They also always worked with a delightful smile. Sometimes a smile is more powerful than 1,000+ words. The last time I was there I worked directly with Mario and Hannah. Both were incredibly helpful to not only the bride and groom, but to the vendors as well. I would highly recommend them!
